Rebecca has been a designer and creator her whole life. She obtained her Masters in Architecture from NC State University’s College of Design in 2007 and spent eight years working for local, award-winning architecture firms on large-scale public, educational, and cultural projects. From 2011-2017 she taught undergraduate architecture studios at NC State focused on teaching young students the fundamentals of design.
In 2015, Necessary Design was created to allow her to explore her love of residential architecture as well as to spend more time with her young daughter. Since then she has added another daughter to the mix, and designed and built additions, renovations, and new construction in downtown Raleigh and Durham.
